Don't know what it is about the Printer's Row neighborhood but I'm here all the time and I love it more and more.
Printer's Row used to be the heart of the cities printer's and binding industry, which means that it's one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. It has a great little park that, this morning in particular was covered in people walking their dogs. No sun bathers yet - but it is a work day.
The buildings are great - many with bookstores on the first level and all the historic charm you'd expect from one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city.
There are some great price points here as well. Studios for 150K, lofts for 350K, and new construction abounds. On our site, you can Search for All Printer's Row Properties for Free.
ChicagoTraveler.com has all the info on the Printer's Row Book Fair.
